At 50, everyone has the face they deserve.

-At 30. your bones are the strongest they will be and you have the most stamina and endurance you will ever have.
-At 50, peope start to act like their parents even if they had been very rebellious.
-Good news ladies! At 55, we start to lose weight. The bad news is that it is bone, lean tissue, muscle and water.
-Wrinkles do not come from aging. They come from sunlight.
-The years between 50-57 are the hardest because we are still being asked to do things but we are not decrepit enough to say no.
-At 60, saliva decreases, lessening digestion which is why heavy meals don't seem like such a good idea anymore.
-I end with good news. At 90, you have a very slim chance of getting cancer. Hungry, mutant cells are not going "there".

City girls!

High energy Brae and her super-spirited artist friend Eleanor came for the day and left me totally wiped. Out to lunch we went, window shopping, visited Pax and Chalice at school, made cupcakes, dinner, coffee, and looked for things Brae left at Christmas. We realised Lowen gave some of these items to Jonlyn. How did that happen? It didn't seem to phase Brae in the least. That attitude comes from being young and big-hearted. They raced off at 6pm because Brae had to get the rental car back by 9. City girls are fun! Thank you Brae for starting off our week with hearty laughter and buckets of fun.

How my sister and her husband must feel tonight...

Then the earth shook and trembled;
The foundations of the hills also quaked and were shaken,...
He bowed the heavens also, and came down...
He flew upon the wings of the wind
The Lord also thundered in the heavens,
And the Most High uttered His voice...
He send out His arrows and scattered the foe...

He delivered me from my strong enemy,
For they were too strong for me.

Let the God of my salvation be exalted! Psalm 18.

(Dedicated to the Powell family who have just learned that their son James will be officially released from the grip of the public school system and into the qualified care of a private school - summer school included!)
